Welcome to southmidlandp2p.co.uk - the official website for Point-to-Point horse racing in the South Midlands area. The new point to point season is just around the corner and we will be covering all of the meetings at the following courses: Ashorne, Barbury Racecourse, Brafield-on-the-Green, Dunthrop, Guilsborough, Kimble, Kingston Blount, Lockinge, Siddington and Tweseldown. We will also have all the latest news, views, reviews and events taking place in the South Midlands.

The new point-to-point season starts earlier this season on Sunday 2nd December 2007 with the Tweseldown Racing Club meeting at Tweseldown and also at Black Forest Lodge in Devon. Hopefully the weather will be kind throughout the season and there will be few cancellations and postponements.

The first meeting in the South Midlands Area is on Sunday 16th December at Dunthrop. As some of you may be aware we will not be racing at Mollington this season due to new building works taking place at the course. (see archive on Memories of Mollington but the committee have been working very hard to re-schedule these meetings to other courses. The Grafton meeting has been moved to Guilsborough, the Bicester with Whaddon Chase fixture in February has been moved to Dunthrop, but unfortunately they had to postpone the April Bicester with Whaddon Chase fixture but hopefully this will have a permanent home next season.

A preview of every meeting in the South Midlands area will be posted to the site every Thursday before the weekend fixtures. We also have a new column called In the Know which will be regularly updated with your choice of horses to follow throughout the season.
