Welcome to southmidlandp2p.co.uk - the official website for Point-to-Point horse racing in the South Midlands. The new point to point season is just around the corner and we will be covering all of the meetings at the following courses: Ashorne, Barbury Racecourse, Brafield-on-the-Green, Dunthrop, Guilsborough, Kimble, Kingston Blount, Lockinge, Siddington,Tweseldown and Whitfield. We will also have all the latest news, views, reviews and events taking place in the South Midlands Area.

The new 2009-2010 fixture list was released on Tuesday 22nd September 2009. The first of the 213 scheduled meetings is due to take place at Black Forest Lodge on Sunday 29th November 2009, with the Cambridge University Hunts Club meeting which traditionally kicks off the season alongside Black Forest Lodge now scheduled for a week later on Sunday 6th December 2009.

No meetings will be staged in the South Midlands Area before the new year with Barbury Racecourse hosting the first venue of the season for their now traditional 2 day meeting on the week-end of the 9th and 10th of January. Whitfield's opening meeting last season proved a great success and have now taken over the South Midland Area Club meeting and the Bicester with Whaddon Chase meeting which were run at Tweseldown and Dunthrop respectively last season.

In other area news, the two day Radnor & West Hereford fixture is reverting back to just one day and the season traditionally finishes with the Torrington Farmers meeting at Umberleigh on Saturday 12th June 2010.

A preview of every meeting in the South Midlands area will be posted to the site every Thursday before the weekend fixtures. I would also like too hear all your news and views of the weekends action and any other information you would like to discuss on the sport on the sites forum. I will also be putting up on the site before the start of the new season some horses to follow throughout the season , so please feel free to send me details of any horses you think are worth following.
