Beau Michel Looking for Mixed Open Joy

The Old Berks Hunt stage their usual Easter Monday meeting at Lockinge near Wantage. The recent rain has arrived in time to produce almost perfect going conditons for what looks on paper to be a very competitive meeting. They are expecting as usual a very big crowd and the advice is to arrive at the course as early as possible to beat the prevailing queues. A good entry of 110 runners has been received on a 6 race card. The first race starts at 1.30 p.m.

The best bet on the card looks to be Beau Michel who put in a very decent performance to finish second behind Worship The Stars earlier in the season. Beau Michel unseated the rider on his next outing, but with the slightly smaller fences here playing into his hands he looks a good bet to make amends to record an overdue first success of the season.
