Tudor Takes To Championship Throne

James Tudor records another victory on Lucent at Kingston Blount on his way to winning The National Mens Point to Point Jockey Championship.

Congratulations ! to James Tudor who has won the National Mens Point to Point Championship with 37 winners for the season. This was an amazing performance considering he rode 16 winners in the last 2 weeks of the season. James finished 3 winners clear of Richard Burton who suffered the latter stages of the season on the sidelines due to injury.

A regular rider in the South Midlands area, James recorded many of his winners for the Aston Rowant trainer Alan Hill. Alan was also prepared to take Monty's Island down to Devon to score at the last meeting of the season to help James fulfill his dream of landing his first title.

Based outside the area and living in Cowbridge, Wales James is a regular work rider for the professional racehorse trainer Evan Williams, and it has become evident over the past season this professional education has not gone to waste. Riding with great confidence, timing, perserverence and maturity James was a deserved winner to take this seasons crown. James's best qualities as a jockey are dictating matters from the front and is a very hard opponent to pass especially around Alan Hill's two local tracks Kingston Blount and Kimble.

We look forward to seeing his talents in the area next season and who knows another championship may beckon.
